Consulting: A Path Forward

Special Needs Services Navigation.

Case review, assessment, consultation, recommendations, and referrals.

Any of these services (or service providers), along with family life and community activities, can be part of the service package to support your child for and during the transition to adult life – employment, college, independent living.

You have to understand the why and the how of special needs service providers (why they exist and the regulations) before you can effectively ask for the what.

“I wouldn’t even know to use all these services. My [student] was in a big school and had to drop out.”

CD – parent of college age student

I do not provide direct services or coaching to the young person but instead work with their family/important people to help assess needs, research service providers, and strategize a plan to address needs and reach goals.
