The information herein is solely intended for informational purposes regarding how various services are provided to special needs children and young adults.

The professional relationship with the client is limited to the paid time of the consultation session and the subsequent provision of any agreed upon recommendations and resources discussed in the consultation session. The professional relationship is then officially terminated. Future service provision will be subject to compensation and will be at the discretion of the consultant.

The consultant does not have a direct professional relationship with the client’s child/student/loved one.

The recommendations herein are not intended to assess the needs of the client directly and are not a substitute for direct assessment by professionals. Verifying the validity of the diagnostic information provided by the client is the sole responsibility of the client to verify. The recommendations are not intended verify diagnostic information or to constitute a diagnosis of medical or mental health conditions, nor are they intended to offer professional recommendations to treat such conditions.

The consultant will make recommendations based on decades of personal and professional experiences and will make those recommendations in good faith. However, recommendation (and resources) are not intended to stand alone and followed blindly but instead to be combined with other sources of information and especially with the client’s best judgement while navigating the situation(s) at hand. It is always the client’s final responsibility to research themselves and to assess whether any information, suggestion, or recommendation is right for their loved one. The final service navigation choices are always the responsibility of the client.

The consultant can never guarantee what any given service provider will decide regarding eligibility and service provision, and the recommendations herein are not intended to promise any given outcome.

While the consultant is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the consultant is not working in those capacities as a mental or behavioral health professional when offering recommendations as a consultant. And while the consultant is a certified Independent Facilitation the consultant is not working in the capacity of an Independent Facilitator when offering recommendations as a consultant. The provision of Special Needs Consultation services does not establish a therapeutic or Independent Facilitation relationship.

The Consultant has no financial relationship with any individual professional, agency, or program (except as disclosed to the client).
